1-Year Limited Warranty

01What This Warranty Is

Every new machine I sell comes with the manufacturer’s warranty plus my own 1-year limited warranty on top. Mine covers repair labor for defects in materials or workmanship, starting the day you pick up your machine (home) or the day I install it (café), and lasting 12 months.

It applies to new machines and grinders bought from Amazigh Espresso. Pre-owned machines carry their own written terms at the time of sale.

02How Much Repair Labor Is Covered

• Home machines: up to 4 hours of repair labor during the 12 months.
• Café machines: up to 6 hours of repair labor during the 12 months.
• Hours are used as repairs happen. Once they’re used, or 12 months pass, repairs are billed at my standard rates.
• Repairs only. Maintenance — descaling, gaskets, shower screens, cleaning, adjustments and tune-ups — is not warranty work and is billed normally (or covered under the Subscription Repair Program).

03Parts

Parts are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, under the manufacturer’s own terms — I handle the claim for you. Parts the manufacturer doesn’t cover are billed at my standard parts pricing.

04Where and When Service Happens

• Home machines: bring the machine to my Eden Prairie workshop.
• Café machines: on-site in the Twin Cities metro during normal business hours. Travel time counts toward your covered hours. Outside the metro, travel is billed.
• Emergency and after-hours calls: the warranty covers labor at my standard rate; the after-hours / rush difference is billed.
• Turnaround times aren’t guaranteed, and a loaner machine isn’t included (one may be available at my standard loaner rate).

05What You Need to Do to Keep Coverage

• Soft water. Water hardness must stay under the manufacturer’s recommended maximum, with proper filtration or softening installed and cartridges changed on schedule. Keep your receipts or records.
• Water checks. You agree to let me check your water hardness at a mutually agreed time, and at any service visit.
• Turn it off at night. The machine must be turned off overnight and whenever the business is closed (or set on its built-in on/off timer, if it has one).
• Report problems immediately. At the first sign of a leak, error, unusual noise, or loss of pressure or heat, stop using the machine and contact me within 48 hours.
• Daily care. Backflush and clean as the manual and I showed you.
• Correct power. Plugged into the correct voltage and a dedicated, properly rated outlet — no extension cords.

06What’s Not Covered

• Scale or mineral damage from water harder than the manufacturer’s maximum, or from skipped filter changes.
• Corrosion from overly pure water (RO or distilled water without remineralization).
• Damage from continuing to use the machine after a problem appeared, or from a problem not reported promptly.
• Damage from leaving the machine on overnight or unattended against these terms.
• Freezing — machines left in a cold car, garage or unheated space.
• Damage caused by repairs, parts or modifications from anyone other than me.
• Wrong voltage, extension cords, overloaded circuits or power surges.
• Neglect, misuse, running the boiler dry, drops, or damage in transport after pickup.
• Wear parts: gaskets, screens, baskets, burrs, filter cartridges, steam tips, knobs, and cosmetic wear.
• A home machine used commercially (offices, cafés, rentals).
• Café installations where plumbing or electrical was done by someone else.
• Lost sales, lost business or other indirect costs — my responsibility is limited to the covered repair labor.

07The Fine Print

• Proof of purchase from Amazigh Espresso is required. The warranty is not transferable.
• If I diagnose a problem and it isn’t covered, the diagnosis is billed at my standard diagnostic rate.
• I’ll inspect the machine and explain any coverage decision in writing.
• The manufacturer’s warranty is separate and follows the manufacturer’s terms.
• This limited warranty doesn’t take away any rights you have under the law.
